Philosophy Statement

The basic premise of the Nate Waters Physical Therapy Clinic is to promote student success through community-based service learning while providing a clinical model through which the profession may be practiced.

Mission Statement

Nate Waters PT provides clinical and research experiences through a structured model of mentor relationships by faculty, community partners and community volunteers, by which students gain knowledge, skill, and confidence while fostering professional behaviors and practices thus promoting the exchange of information and provision of physical therapy through the community.

Goals and Objectives

  • Students will provide faculty supervised physical therapy to community partners and volunteers.
  • Students will engage in the appropriate PT/PTA relationship as they implement competent interventions within the physical therapist plan of care.
  • Students will demonstrate effective communication with faculty, patients and fellow students in the clinic.
